Calling all backyard gardeners! Register for the National Backyard Gardening Competition and showcase your growing skills while supporting sustainable food security. Open to all registered backyard gardeners, the competition will be judged in April 2026 with up to $7,500 in cash prizes. Entries are evaluated on plant health and vigor, crop variety and density, maintenance and cleanliness, sustainability and soil management, design and layout, and record keeping. Registration is open throughout January 2026, with physical forms available at the Agricultural Extension Division or online registration available.
